Disaster!!! (and some updates)

we have not been posting for quite awhile. but heres a quick update. we have all been busy with our personal lives as well as some creative servers and other projects. (you can see some of mine on Pmc) but we are sad to tell you that aces city has fallen. when we opened the world file a few months ago, chunk corruption had taken out several chunks in the city and it also crashed our game. after reloading the world, all that is left is a tiny chunk in the new district. the rest had been corrupted. However, although everything is lost, we are going to start anew. i am already working on my new city, aces city(V2) i am going to incorporate more design and thought into this city, and i have improved in my skills. the new city will be more realistic, with roads and highways, and thought will be put into every building. i will create a new blog about the new city soon, so tune in!

Havent been posting for a while, this is what we have been working on. thanks to greenfield city for inspiration.

New Building(s)!

These buildings are skyrocketing like wildfire. we have completed four new buildings, two companies, the police headquarters and a small radio station. as you might have noticed, in the new district, we try to incorporate design in the buildings, instead of having them as solid blocks like the ones in the old district.

the two companies are : Kevlar & Co, selling leather goods and Stack Banking.

New Building!

With our new addition, we have opened up a new district, new town. our current skyline will be dismissed as 'old town'. in the new town, we have completed two new buildings, the official 1601 cafe headquarters and Advanced Combat, another company.

New Member!

Today we welcome a new member to our building team. Jermaine (username:jermaineang1601) together with yirs, we shall continue to build up the city. we already completed two new buildings with her.

Just an overview of the city, to let you know our progress.

New Building!

Bay park is a place where tourists can go to to admire the city's skyline. it has a few fountains and some shelters to rest in. it is built in front of a new station in the new district area.

i have completed the first zone of the low density residential district. the cobble zone. it has 32 houses in it and will be fully furnished. the houses are all made of cobble and stone as well as wood and they all have skylights, to help light up the interior. this style of houses are easy to make and each house only takes a minimum of 5 minutes to complete.

Im trying to expand the railway system to connect different parts of the city, right now, i'm expanding the country line.. and a new bridge to go with it! i had some problems finding the right curve for the bridge as well as the lighting. it is one of the few structures that use redstone lamps.

Expanding the City

In our effort to expand the city as much as possible, i am going to create two new districts. the low and high density residential districts. the low density district is on the same area as the new central station and i have already built three houses there. i will further divide the district into zones later. the high density district will be full of apartments and it will be located on the other side of the city aquarium. i also have started building a small apartment there as well.

New Building!

New central station is a new train station built in the residential district. it shall house the commuter line and the country line. i have already put the tracks in and now i just need to put in some furniture. it is also a unique design i wanted to try out.

About the City ~ Old Central Station

Old central station is the brick building at the end of central street. serving as a station for the metro line and the commuter line, it lets passengers hop quickly from one line to the other.

About the City ~ Bayfront

Bayfront is the small street beside the water. it has two piers with two motorboats docked in it and three buildings along it. it is the second street i developed. The buildings there are the yatch club, cuppa joe - a coffee house, and a record shop.

New Building!

I have completed a small building, Blocks & Co opposite of the blocks distribution centre, it was quite a challenge aligning the floors as it was built on a slope, but its done! i have yet to furnish the interior and i plan to furnish both the blocks distribution centre and this one in the next week.

About the City ~ Oakwood Hotel

The oakwood hotel is the third building i have ever built in the city. it has 8 rooms and has two water elevators in it. it is unique in the sense that it is two connected cylinders, instead of one big block, like the other buildings. it once almost burned down when lightning hit it. But it has been restored.

We just finished another building! the Aces city ore distribution center. currently, we have just finished the exterior. we shall finish up the interior soon.

About the City ~ Marble Hotel

The Marble Hotel is the second tallest building in the city, only two meters shorter than the Pinnacle tower. Built very recently, it is made of a new material called 'quartz' it has 11 floors, and has around 20
rooms. unlike most buildings, it also has a cellar. its is located on station road and its one of the tallest buildings mainly because it is built on a hill.

My brother (yirs) and I just completed the exterior of our new building! The Aces city stock exchange. you might have seen our preparations of its plot in a previous snapshot. now we just need to furnish the interior.

About the City ~ Pinnacle Tower

The Pinnacle tower is currently the tallest building in the city. it has 12 floors and is built out of cobblestone. it sits on the end of central street and overlooks most of the central district. a lava fountain is located at the top few floors of the tower, acting as a beacon to travelers. it mainly consists of offices and it has two 'party rooms' near the top.

New Project

This blog is about a new minecraft project i have, Aces city. I already have some buildings built so as to have something to talk about.

 i will be further devolping the city and i will post every 1-2 weeks. here is the current skyline of the city.

the tallest buildings are the marble hotel and the pinnacle tower the rest of the buildings form the central district. the suspension bridge currently leads into the wilderness which i will develop into the residential district.
